Biography:
Professor Shor's research interests are in the fields of game theory, experimental economics, and industrial organization. His theoretical work on the effects of mergers in auction markets is accompanied by experimental research into human decision making. Professor Shor recently received a grant from the National Institutes of Health to study how people make decisions when faced with an overwhelming number of options. Professor Shor joined the Owen faculty in 2001, after earning his Ph.D. in Economics from Rutgers University where he was the recipient of the Sidney Brown Prize in Economics and the Peter Asch Memorial Scholarship. Professor Shor's Web site, www.gametheory.net, was selected as one of the top 50 Web resources by Scientific American.
