The Walker Management Library offers many benefits to Owen alumni.
On-site Access, Borrowing, and Reference Services. The Alumni VandyCard provides all Vanderbilt alumni with free access to the Walker Management Library as well as other Vanderbilt libraries. In the Walker Library, alumni may check out books, use most electronic databases, and receive assistance with research. Telephone reference assistance is also available at 615.322.3960.
Research Services. Alumni may request that the staff of the Walker Management Library conduct research and locate documents for them through the Business Information Service. The membership fee for this service is waived for Owen alumni, and alumni receive a discounted research rate of $75/hour (a 25% discount) plus database charges. Check the Walker Management Library Web site (BIS homepage) for more information about reduced research rates at specific membership levels. Remote Access to Databases. Owen alumni may have direct access to several databases through the Walker Management Library. Simply use your alumni ID on the Walker Library site's Alumni Services section. Some of the database you have access to are: CareerSearch, Computer Database, PROMT (contains market, product & technology news), General Business File ASAP, and Expanded Academic ASAP (both contain business news) and WetFeet.
For access to the Alumni databases, simply use this to logon. Use your first initial, last name and year for username @owen.vanderbilt.edu and then the last four digits of the SSN for a password.
